Staro Process Control, a traditional Automation and Control specialist company, now also offers CCTV solutions. The CCTV camera business is treated in the same professional manner with one main supplier. Our engineering staff and specifically the IT department will be able to assist our clients with advance networking and required professional assistance.
As traditionally an automation company, our client base primarily falls within the manufacturing industry. Because most of this client base either has CCTV installations or requirements, the CCTV product and business model was introduced into our portfolio as a complimentary product and service. As a result we can now expand our operations to include non-industrial clients and offer them the same industry type standards.
Our installed base includes companies like ArcelorMittal, Sasol, Natref, Halfway House primary school, John Orr Technical high school, SAPS – Sasolburg, Midvaal private hospital etc.
What is CCTV?
Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) is an installation of directly connected components creating a circuit which cannot be viewed by anybody outside of the circuit. This is different to a terrestrial television broadcast system which anybody with an antenna and reception equipment can view.
Who needs a CCTV system?
These days, CCTV systems can be found virtually everywhere. It is no longer considered to be an expensive luxury item, especially when considering the increased levels of security it offers.
CCTV systems can be found in both the private and commercial sectors and are used mainly for security/crime prevention purposes. It also provides Health and Safety protection to the members of the general public.
CCTV systems can be found operating in industrial plants, town centres, stadiums, shopping centres, sport centres, petrol stations, schools and on public transport - the list is endless.
A CCTV system is a proven method of increasing the level of security of your premises. Its visual appearance alone will deter a criminal from approaching or entering a property for fear of being captured and being identified on the system.
